Paper Cities
Procedural Modeling and Set Design | Maya, Houdini, Presto, Katana, Flow | 2019
For my independent project in the Pixar Undergraduate Program, I challenged myself to create a large-scale procedural city with a nuanced “Paper” aesthetic for my individual project, which involved iterative look-development, building procedural tools, and managing and debugging a Houdini-Presto-Katana USD workflow. I learned so much about art-directed proceduralism through this project and hope to incorporate more detailed, hand-modeled assets and animation in future city projects. Huge thank you to Mike Ravella for mentoring me throughout the process and helping me become a stronger TD.
